Our Mission

ImageBuilding community and promoting fitness through inline skating.

The Basics of Inline Skating:

ImageSkate Journeys offers a Beginner Series which allows you to progress at your own rate based on your learning, your fitness, and your time. The amount of time you spend at each of the levels depends on your skating ability, time to practice and goals. You must pre-register for your first class. After your first class you do not pre-register, you simply show up when your schedule allows. We offer Beginner Classes every Sunday and Saturdays from September to May. We are closed on all major holidays, Mother's day and Easter.  Click here to see the current class schedule.

Beyond the Basics:

ImageFor those students who want to go beyond the basics, we offer a terrific series of classes: Anything Goes, Intermediates, Advanced Intermediates and Advanced. We also offer marathon and beginning trail skating prep courses in the spring and Skate Team (artistic) in the Winter.  If that's not enough, we also offer a variety of clinics: Indoor Race, Aggressive, Hockey, Artistic Dance, Hip Hop and Grace & Polish.  For skiers who are looking for a pre-season warm up we offer a Ski Conditioning on Skates class. For all classes see 'classes/schedule' and 'classes/descriptions' for details. We are the only school in the nation which offers such a wide variety of classes and offers them all year round.

Self Taught Skater?

ImageSelf taught skaters will find a number of reasons to come to Skate Journeys. The most valuable one is to help Self Taught skaters become more efficient. Skating well, gracefully, or fast is all about the efficiency in skating. Self Taught skaters often skate well, but not evenly or not on the correct edge for the move they are working on.

If you want a free 10 minute assessment to determine which class would be appropriate contact Trish to schedule one. We also suggest that a private lesson, prior to your first lesson will help in terms of shoring up some of your basic skills (even if you are advanced).  Click here to see all the classes offered by Skate Journeys.
